In September, the “Val Tidone Lentamente” excursion festival includes a series of events combined with historical and important food and wine events in the Val Tidone of Piacenza, enriched by the historical and cultural peculiarities of the area. Next Sunday the environmental hiking guide AIGAE Mirna Filippi organizes an excursion together with the “Festa d’la Chisola”, a quality festival that for over fifty years has been realized and promoted by the Pro Loco of Borgonovo Val Tidone: the walk aims to introduce participants to the Via Postojna., ancient roads during the Romanization of Val Tidone (which crosses the Sentiero del Tidone right in the municipality of Borgonovo Val Tidone) that connects Aquileia to Genoa, crossing all of northern Italy.

The excursion includes the meeting at the parking lot of the church of Breno at 8:30 am and a meeting with Dr. Gloria Bolzoni of the Archaeological Museum of Val Tidone for an introductory chat on the ancient road network in Val Tidone. At 11:30 am possibility to visit the Castle of Castelnuovo Val Tidone with “Atlante turismo Piacenza” (minimum 10 people – cost € 8).

The walk, of about 14 kilometers, is tourist and suitable for everyone with irrelevant difference in height. Packed lunch.

All participants will be given a good drink to taste the chisola on the stands of the concomitant “Festa d’la Chisola” of Borgonovo Val Tidone.

Participation fee € 12 (€ 10 for members of the association “Sentiero del Tidone APS”, € 8 for children under 18 years).
