In Borgo Val di Taro , the month of July opens with a calendar full of events, including the historic center, squares, museums, hamlets and naturalistic places. A program designed for residents and visitors, with cultural events, live music, sports, guided tours, popular festivals and opportunities to discover the area.

The month begins

Friday 3 July at Palazzo Tardiani with “A Roman treasure”, presentation of the discovery of 36 silver coins from the Roman era: an event dedicated to the history and ancient traces of the territory.

On Saturday 4 July , space for sport with the Urban Trail, a road race by 3T ValTaro, while at the Regional Nature Reserve and WWF Oasis of the Ghirardi activities dedicated to nature are scheduled, including guided excursions and workshops.

Music comes alive on Wednesday 8 July with Valtaro Drums 2026, the final evening of the XVII edition of the campus and drum stage in Piazzetta La Quara.

On Thursday 9 July , the centre lights up with the Taro Ceno Rock Festival in Piazza XI Febbraio, with a concert by Plastic Haze, while from 9 to 12 July Piazza Verdi hosts the Calciotennis tournament.

The following weekend will also be dedicated to culture and memory.

On Friday 10 July at the Manara Library there will be the presentation “Fragments of life in Val Tarodine 1950-1960”.

On Saturday 11 July , the celebrations of Tiedoliday are scheduled, on the 20th anniversary of the death of Mario Tommasini, and at 5.30 pm, in the garden of the Mushroom Museum, the presentation of the book “Noi, gente da niente” by Lucia Giovanelli. The Mushroom Museum also offers educational activities and workshops dedicated to the world of the forest, with appointments also on 11 and 25 July.

From 16 to 20 July, the Feast of the Patron Saint of Borgotaro returns, with amusement parks, civil events and religious celebrations. As part of the program, on Friday 17 July the Campetto di Casa Molinari will host Terre di Confine Fest, including talks, music and art, while the presentation of Mario Previ’s book is scheduled at the Manara Library.

Saturday 18 July will be a particularly rich day: at Palazzo Molinari the Exhibition workshop of the Master luthier Giorgio Giliotti will be inaugurated; in Piazza La Quara there will be the delivery of the merits of the Madonna del Carmine; in Piazza Cavour will follow the concert of the Band Corps. On Sunday 19 July, in St. Peter’s, the religious feast of the Madonna del Carmine will be celebrated, while on Monday 20 July the historic center will host the traditional Fair of the Madonna del Carmine, with market and stalls from 8.00 to 17.00.

Culture continues on Tuesday 21 July with “C’è ancora cinema”, screening at the Campetto di Casa Molinari, and Thursday 23 July with the meeting with Gherardo Colombo. Over the weekend, space for July 23 with the meeting with Gherardo Colombo. In the discovery of the village with Giacomo Galli’s Unusual Visits: Friday 24 July orguided tour of San Rocco, between church, museum and neighborhood; Saturday 25 July itinerary in the historic center starting from the arcades of the Manara Library and, in the afternoon, special opening of Palazzo Bertucci. Also on Saturday 25, from the streets of the center, the Summer Carnival also arrives, with music and masked animations.

The end of the month combines fractions, concerts and conviviality. On Sunday 26 July in Gorro there will be a tribute concert to Maestro Giorgio Gaslini;

Monday 27 July in Piazza La Quara appointment with the concert of the Fuoridallerighe;

Wednesday 29 Julythe Memorial Aragosti returns to the square with the Rosita Piritore Trio.

Friday 31 July, in Viale Bottego, closing in celebration with the Beer Festival, between music, cuisine and fun by the sports associations.

For those who love nature, July also offers several opportunities at the Ghirardi Reserve, including participatory research, excursions, butterflies, caprimulghi and workshops for children, as well as the outings of the CAI Alta Val Taro dedicated to trekking enthusiasts.

An intense and varied month, which tells Borgotaro in all its souls: the historic center, the hamlets, music, memory, nature and popular traditions. July is the ideal time to experience the village, stop in its squares and let yourself be guided by the events to discover the Alta Valtaro.
