The excursion will start from the village of Riana, a pleasant rural Apennine nucleus in the Park of the Hundred Lakes, to observe its historical and environmental peculiarities.

The ancient pastoral culture has left tangible marks on the territory. They are perhaps the shepherds, ancient guardians of the mountains, who have left curious engravings on large boulders of a stony ground marked by several small shelters.

Total difference in height: +/- 130 meters

Degree of difficulty: tourist; Steps to be made carefully in stony ground.

Meeting point: Saturday 18 October 2025 at 3.30 p.m. in front of the Cascina Cavalli di Riana, in Strada del Groppo Sovrano in the municipality of Monchio delle Corti (PR). End of the excursion: 6.00 pm.

Required and mandatory equipment: hiking shoes (no sneakers), water, change, disinfectant, layer clothes and raincoat.
