One of the festivals that characterize autumn in the Reggio Apennines, well known as it has been taking place for many decades.
This year it will be held in Marola di Carpineti on these dates: 8, 15, 22 October 2023.
The program of the festival will be as follows:

SUNDAY 8 OCTOBER

9:30 am – Opening of the Festival, with the Market of artistic crafts and typical products of the Apennines in Piazza Giovanni da Marola, Inflatables and Grillo tricycles in Piazza Ariosto.
10:00 am – The CollinaRe Visits to ….Marola. Guided walk of about two hours to discover the history of the village and its millenary chestnut groves. Info: Ideanatura 338 6744818 – Departure from Piazza Giovanni da Marola.
10:15 am – Traditional and old-time games… at the metato of Caviolla – in collaboration with UISP
10:30 am – Chestnut tour, easy orienteering to discover the territory, start of snack distribution to the participating children.
11:00 am – Cooking of the first ‘pan’ of roasted chestnuts and preparation of Vin-Brulè, in Piazza Giovanni da Marola.
12:00 – Opening refreshment point with polenta, fried dumplings and typical greetings, apple and chestnut pancakes … operating all day.
2:00 pm – Pony ride – Bowls area
2:30 pm – Opening of the Tree Pan House, until 4:30 pm, with activities and sensory experiences for everyone, young and old.
15:00 – Inauguration 59 ^ Chestnut Festival, in the presence of the authorities.
5:45 pm – Chestnut Lottery Draw.
6:30 pm – Party closing.

SUNDAY 15 OCTOBER

13:30 – Pony ride – Bowling area
2:00 pm – Magic of the Chestnut with Agide Cervi at Metato di Caviolla
2:45 pm – Pompieropoli, or children firefighters for a day, organized by the National Association of Firefighters, Reggio Emilia section
5:45 pm – Chestnut Lottery Draw.
6:30 pm – Party closing.

9:30 am – Opening of the Festival, with the Market of artistic crafts and typical products of the Apennines in Piazza Giovanni da Marola, Tricicli grillo in Piazza Ariosto.

6:30 pm – Party closing.

Every Sunday: ancient metato of Caviolla in operation with guided tours, balloons and face painting in Piazza Ariosto, traveling music with Pietro Meglioli, Aroldo Ronteuroli, Sandro Teneggi, Giada Campani, Domenico Zanetti, Romolo Becchetti.
