Have you ever participated in a Chestnut Experience?
From 14 to 16 October, with the guide Elisa Viani of Passi e Nuvole, you will experience a journey through time between Lunigiana and the upper Reggio Apennines, in the heart of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines National Park dressed in autumn.
Through the charm of forgotten paths and mule tracks, you will discover people and incredible stone villages, up to retrace valleys that still smell of knights-errant, to experience the traditions linked to the Chestnut.

PROGRAM:
Day 1 – km 13, elevation gain: +700/-1100 m
Meeting in Cecciola at 8:30 am, from here transfer to reach the attack of our trekking. Along ancient shepherds’ paths we will follow the traces of the Path of the Ducati. We will meet waterfalls, mills and precious villages in the presence of imposing white stones.
Warmth and traditions to be discovered. It will be difficult to get back on the road! Dinner and overnight in a village in the presence of a majestic white stone.
Day 2 – km 13,5, elevation gain: +1000/-1100m
After enjoying breakfast, you climb the altitude to reach the disheveled trail sign of the Alta Via dei Parchi. This time it will be meadows-pastures, community cooperatives and springs set in the rock to show us the way. We will stock up on chestnuts, pecorino cheese and learn from those who have been able to get up and be reborn several times. Dinner and overnight stay in the company of “Knights-errant”.
Day 3 – km 7, elevation gain: +300/-500m
In the carefreeness of the steps, we will visit unexpected villages, we will meet discreet artists and the passionate voice of farmers who choose every day to be inspired by the slow rhythm of Nature. Once we arrive at an important family organic farm, we will discover their history and their activity and we will personally try our hand at harvesting chestnuts. At the end of the experience we will receive a precious gift from the family. Return to Cecciola.

Accommodation: we have selected small accommodation facilities for you. The rooms are double or triple. Being a group is required spirit of adaptation and community.

The trek will be carried out upon reaching 4 paying people.
The guide reserves the right to modify the program and the itinerary according to the composition of the group and the weather.
