The excursion will be cancelled, with timely notice to people who have booked, if the minimum of 6 participants (max 20) is not reached.
Free participation in the TARO-CENO PASSPORT project
A free excursion in absolute preview, to discover the cool hamlet of Casale with its streams and villas.
3.30 p.m. meeting in Casale, in the parking lot of the church of San Pietro. Possibility to participate in the long route (with panoramic point of the Twin Fountain) or the short one (streams and mills).
We will go up through the 6 historic villages of Casale (the “Villas”), with their typical houses, fountains and washhouses, and then “dive” into the copious stream that laps the villages, going up in search of the two historic mills, in the cool chestnut and turkey oak woods.
The shortest route includes a longer stretch in the valley of the mills, while the longer route will go up to the Twin Fountain.
Excursion by the guides Giacomo Galli (expert in history and architecture) and Emanuele Mazzadi (architect specialized in the recovery of historic buildings). There will also be the possibility of participating in a longer excursion, by the guides Laura Musi and Silvia Riccardi, “Casarotte” D.O.C.
At the end of the event, possibility of snack-tasting-aperitif together with Casale (at a cost of 15 euros), based on traditional savory pies, within the widespread festival “Tortiamo”, organized by CULT CONSORZIO FORESTE TARSOGNO & Spirito Tarsogno ASD. So kisses & hugs and… See you on the next adventure!
P.S. for those who want there is the possibility to stay in Val Taro for the whole weekend, participating in the excursion to the waterfalls of Val Gorotta on Sundays!
Short route (stream and mills): length 6 km, positive uphill difference in height about 300 meters (guides Giacomo and Emanuele)
