On Friday 8th and Sunday 10th December we will be present in Contrada di Porta Nova, 14 in Bobbio with the CHARITY STALL of the Lions Club Bobbio
The STRENNA LIONS 2024 this year consists of a valuable reproduction of an image of a significant and particularly evocative and Christmassy detail of the “Puer natus”, a hymn of the Holy Mass of the Nativity of the Lord, taken from the Bobiense Gradual of the sixteenth century, and from the 2024 Calendar which illustrates some illuminated manuscripts of Bobiense, diplomas, parchments and various documents from the eleventh to the eighteenth century, accompanied by some introductory captions. It is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Diocesan Historical Archives of Bobbio, which took on the legacy of Bobbio 1400 years ago and still preserves, despite the almost total dispersion of the codices of the Abbey of San Colombano, a rich and precious heritage with the presence of some Codices and fragments of the Monastery.
