Bascherdeis is ready to return. Under the motto Make busker Not war, the international festival of street artists is getting ready, from 4 to 6 August in Vernasca, to cross the finish line of the seventeenth edition with several novelties and a stellar cast: circus stars, musical artists from all over the world, as well as numerous side events, a corollary of green initiatives and a scenography built on the flags of the various countries to recall the idea of peace.

Important news concern access to the show area. From this edition it is possible to buy entrance tickets in advance, directly on the www.bascherdeis.it website. The entrances are limited, and the online purchase allows savings compared to the purchase at the box office on the evening of the events (as well as ensuring availability). For parking, the parking areas in the fields at the entrance of the village will be limited, giving the possibility to use a paved area at Buzzi Unicem in Lugagnano to reach Vernasca by shuttle bus.

The 2023 edition will coincide with the Feast of San Pellegrino, which occurs on the first Sunday of August, proposing a cast of internationally renowned artists gathered in a varied program, oriented to privilege as much as possible originality and fun and declined between circus disciplines, comedy and music. About twenty performance stations will host over two hundred events over the three days.

The collateral events in Bascherdeis also this year will find space in the colorful bascher street with different art forms: from oil painting to caricaturists, and then sculpture, illustrations, body painting.

The “Art of recycling” initiative will also continue, in memory of the creator and organizer Roberto Bussachini, who recently passed away. Schools are involved and this year, in particular, it should be noted the commitment of the artistic high school Cassinari of Piacenza (class 1 ^ A) which, under the guidance of the teacher Maria Luisa Imperiali, has created colorful floral works recycling glasses, cans and straws. “Art in recycling” will involve many of the stalls present at the craft market and will have its own particular declination in a very original theatrical workshop, where children can have fun with games obtained with recovered wood

The Claim MAKE BUSKER NOT WAR, sanctioned by the internationality of the artists, will be represented by the flags of the various countries placed in the main square of Vernasca, to testify how art is an expression of unity of peoples. As always, there will be spaces for refreshment, with food and drinks.
