On Saturday 13 June 2026 , Alta Valtaro hosts La Staffetta del Filo di Arianna, an initiative promoted by AVIS and dedicated to the theme of preventing and combating gender-based violence.
The event takes shape as a non-competitive walk between the Municipalities of Albareto, Borgo Val di Taro, Compiano, Bedonia and Tornolo, symbolically united by a red thread: “a thread that unites, a network that protects”. The different routes will converge in the territory of Compiano, where the final moment of the day will be held.
Routes and departures
There are several itineraries, starting from the various municipalities involved:
Albareto – Borgo Val di Taro – Compiano
Departure at 9.00 am from the AVIS headquarters in Borgo Val di Taro. Route of about 13.5 km, with crossing of two streams. Packed lunch is recommended.
Bedonia – Compiano
Departure at 1.30 pm from the AVIS headquarters in Bedonia. Route of about 5.5 km.
Tornolo / Tarsogno – Compiano
Departure at 13.00 from the Red Bench in Tornolo. Route of about 7.5 km.
Compiano – Italy
Departure at 2.30 pm from the AVIS headquarters in Compiano. Route of about 2.5 km to the historic center.
The arrival is scheduled at 15.00 at the AVIS headquarters in Compiano, in Sugremaro, and then concludes in the historic center of Compiano, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele.
At 16.00 there will be the greeting of the Authorities and the Presidents of the AVIS sections. Speakers will include, among others, Tiziana Tridente, leader of Ariadne’s Thread, MEP Alessandra Moretti, the Lunaria Social Cooperative, psychologist Denise Sidoli and the KALI Parma Association.
The day will also see the contribution of the choir “Fuori dalle Righe” by Pietro Terroni “Peter Tatto” and the participation of the students of the Zappa Fermi Institute.
It is recommended to show up with sportswear.
The return is expected by own means.
In case of bad weather, the event will start at 15.00 at the AVIS headquarters in Compiano.
