Masterclass with Tasting of Anolini, Ham, Cheese and D.O.C. Wines of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza.

Taste and History meet within the walls of the centuries-old Castle of Varano. April 29th is an unmissable opportunity to discover the delicacies of the area and visit the impregnable Pallavicino Fortress. The tasting, promoted by the Municipality of Varano in collaboration with the Strada del Prosciutto e dei Vini, will feature the DOC wines of Parma and Piacenza and the gastronomic products of the territory, with a particular focus on the prestigious Anolino di Varano De’ Melegari.

PROGRAM
– 11:30 am: Welcome greetings from the Authorities.
– 11:50 am: Tasting of some Gastronomic Excellences of the Territory paired with a selection of D.O.C. Wines from Piacenza and Parma.
– 13:00 : Guided tour of the Fortress (accessory)

In combination with the D.O.C. Wines of Piacenza and Parma will be tasted:
Prosciutto di Parma PDO aged 24 months (Prosciuttificio F.lli Canetti, Langhirano);
Parmigiano Reggiano PDO aged 14 months (Caseificio Il Battistero, Varano Dé Melegari);
Parmigiano Reggiano PDO aged 24 months (Caseificio San Martino, Varano Dé Melegari);
Anolini of Varano Dé Melegari without meat;
Anolini of Varano Dé Melegari with meat.
