The lady who lived in the castle died after being often abandoned and betrayed by her husband. According to legend, his ghost appeared to the owner of the castle who returned its appearance in sculptural form. Since then it has been a tradition to bring gifts to the statue of Aloisa that make her feel loved and appreciated.
The 2023 edition is dedicated to Pirates. The festival is attended by English nobles, from the Governor of His Majesty, along with corsairs and pirates.
