The anniversary of April 25 in the Municipality of Casina represents a moment of strong civil and historical value for the community, called to renew the principles of freedom, democracy and participation that are the basis of the Republic.
The program of Friday 25 April 2026 will kick off at 9.00 am in Piazza IV Novembre with the Holy Mass officiated by Don Umberto Iotti. Afterwards, the blessing and the laying of the laurel wreath will be held at the War Memorial.
The institutional greetings of the mayor Stefano Costi are then expected, followed by the speeches of Anna Fornili, city councilor and of the Emilia-Romagna Region, and Yuri Torri representing ANPI Reggio Emilia. The students of the Municipal Council of boys and girls and the Secondary School of Casina will also participate, testifying to the involvement of the new generations in the custody of memory.
