This year the cultural proposal of Nuove Esplosioni Festival is an invitation to the public to look upwards, towards the Valley as well as towards the sky, to aim high, more and more, to experience a summer in Val d’Arda full of multidisciplinary activities, including en plein air theater, large square events, artistic residencies, concerts and mobile theaters and workshops with participants from over various countries of the world. That’s why this edition of the Festival has chosen as a special godmother, the hot air balloon, as a symbol that in June will take adults and children to Morfasso, to fly over the Val D’Arda, both with flights tied to the ground at sunset and with free flights at dawn.

In the artistic headquarters of Sciara Progetti a big party for the hot air balloon is expected, with flights tied to the ground at 20 meters high, for adults and children, and many entertainment, sharing and refreshment activities throughout the day.

DOUBLE-DECKER BUS transformed into a THEATER
A set of a show born from a project by Sciara Progetti (Italy), Bus Theater (Italy), Compagnie Duanama (France) Teatro Metaphora (Portugal) funded by Creative Europe. Rehearsals open to the public of the show during the day with debut in Morfasso before leaving for an international tour that will cross different countries of Europe.

“Ancestors” – Marco Paolini
A story that traces the evolution of our species through the voices of all the grandparents in history. The themes of evolution and ecology are narrated in an epic-comic key, to discover that the facts and problems of the present are linked to the problems of the past: the word is entrusted with the task of showing this lineage of tightrope walkers who preceded us and from whom we have inherited defects and virtues.

A vertical theater built at a height of 40 meters, a language that uses different artistic forms ranging from theater to circus, from graphics to acrobatics, from dance to music, from visual comedy to new technologies, to express itself on unusual and surprising theatrical places that are towers, facades, bell towers, walls, cliffs, trees and large open spaces. “Quadro” was born from the dream of dancing on a flying wall, an aerial stage of 50 square meters, with 4 large holes to act as backdrops. With this slow game of perspectives that blend and intertwine, four dancers move on the white stage like pencils on a blank sheet, like colors on a canvas ready to paint themselves with acrobatic jumps and flights suspended in mid-air.
