Sala Baganza honors as usual the Liberation Day, with a calendar of initiatives to keep alive, in all generations, the memory of those who fought and gave their lives for freedom. The events for April 25 organized in collaboration with the local section of the ANPI and several other associations will be anticipated by the presentation by Professor Pietro Bonardi and the president of the ANPI sales section Marco Zanettini, of the re-edition of the book “The Rebels of Sala”, which will be held Friday 21 April at 6 pm.00 in the Conference Room of the Rocca Sanvitale.
On Tuesday, April 25 , the official celebrations will take place. The day dedicated to the Liberation Day will start at 9.00 am, with the laying of flowers at the memorial stones dedicated to the Fallen. Subsequently, at 10.30, in Via Vittorio Emanuele II in front of the Town Hall, the gathering for the formation of the procession with the deposition of the wreaths in Piazza XXV Aprile and at the Collina del Partigiano. At 11.15 there will be the Holy Mass in the Oratory of the Assumption and, at the end, the gathering in Piazza Gramsci in front of the monument to the fallen with the raising of the flag and the deposition of the wreath, accompanied by the Felino Band that will perform the National Anthem, silence and some resistance songs.
In the afternoon of Wednesday 26 April, at 5.30 pm, the traditional appointment with the ”
Resistant Walks”,
the tour guided by the children of the fifth classes of the elementary school ” Athos Maestri” in the symbolic places of Salesian anti-fascism.
