There are numerous initiatives promoted by the Municipality of Castelnovo Monti on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance, which every year on January 27 commemorates the victims of the Holocaust.
On Friday he will inaugurate in Fivizzano the exhibition “Stories next door. Forced labor. War production and crimes of the Reimahg plant 1944-1945” made and donated to the Municipality of Castelnovo Monti by the Walpersberg and V.Kahla Association (Thuringia), which the municipality of Reggio Emilia has now lent to the twinned municipality of Fivizzano: it will be set up in the civic library of Fivizzano until February 20th.
On January 31 in the Town Hall in Castelnovo, from 9 to 12, a meeting entitled “The girl behind the eyes” is scheduled, which will see staff of Istoreco, the institute for the history of the Resistance and society, in comparison with the children of the fourth classes of primary school.
Thursday, February 2, at the Teatro Bismantova, will be screened the film “Terezin – Art is stronger than hatred”, directed by Gabriele Guidi, at 21 (admission 4 euros) with replica Friday, February 3 at 10 am for secondary school classes.
Friday, February 3 in the evening (9 pm), a high-level recital: “Song of the Yiddish people put to death”, by Itzak Katzenelson, with Emanuele Ferrari (reading), Giovanni Mareggini (flute) and Davide Burani (harp).
