Where it is

Febbio is the highest village in Val d’Asta, in the municipality of Villa Minozzo, at 1053 m above sea level. It is located at the foot of Mount Cusna, in the heart of the National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.

Why visit it

The sport resort of Rescadore, 2 km from Febbio, is one of the largest winter sports resorts in this area of the Apennines: in winter the north-eastern side of Cusna is transformed into an equipped ski resort for beginners and experts. Febbio offers skiers 20 km of downhill slopes, constantly packed down and snow-capped, even artificially at low altitudes.

There are also restaurants and lodges, including the one at the arrival of the chairlift at 2000 meters above sea level, which caters to tourists.

The chairlift can transport up to 1500 people/hour.

• Fortino-Mardonde. Chairlift with three seats, magic carpet lift and hand-free access system, length 1480 mt 1500 people/hour.
• 2000. Traditional two-seater chair lift with hands-free access system, length 1400 meters, the highest chair lift in the Apennines with its 2063 meters above sea level. 500 people/hour.
• School slope. Treadmill with hands-free access system.

Keeping fit

The area, in addition to skiing or snowshoes in winter, offers many hiking opportunities in every season, whether on foot, even with a guide, or by mountain bike or on horseback.

The chairlift is also activated in summertime, to facilitate those who want to reach the higher altitudes in a simpler way.

In the summer, Febbio is the ideal starting point for joining the dense network of trails in the National Tuscan-Emilian Park that end up at the Italian Alpine Club lodge “Cesare Battisti” at Lama Lite (1760m).
