At the BIBLIOTECA DI FELINO a series of meetings to talk about books with a cup of tea.
” Beyond the book” is a free and open group of readers! To participate it is not necessary to book and you can attend the number of appointments you prefer. The meetings are held monthly and will all be held on Tuesday evenings at 9 pm.
The name of the group, as well as the day and time of the meeting, were voted by a majority of the library readers who spontaneously joined the survey proposed in September 2023.
The group is open to everyone, even those who are not members of the library. It is possible to participate even if you do not want to read the book of the month or have not finished reading. The purpose of the group is to connect people who love books and to create an informal space where they can exchange opinions, discuss, get to know each other and advise. The selected readings were proposed by the participants of the group under the supervision of Arianna, the librarian.
The library will provide, within the limits of the availability of the heritage of the libraries of Parma and Reggio nell’Emilia and the related provinces, to provide a loan copy of the book of the month to the participants. Other forms of use of the text will also be proposed as ebooks through the EMILB digital library or the audio book support.
Tea and herbal teas will be offered during the meeting. To help the environment we invite participants to bring their own cup.
All appointments are at 9 pm in the library. The books and dates of each month are:
– 13 October 2026: “Triste, solitario y final” by Osvaldo Soriano
– November 10, 2026: “When cranes fly south” by Lisa Ridzén
– December 1, 2026: “Little Things from Nothing”by Claire Keegan
To stay up to date on the group’s news or on the appointments of “Beyond the book” you can choose two ways:
– Whatsapp broadcast: you will receive a message from the library’s Whatsapp profile with updates. The phone number provided will only be visible to the library operator. Any replies to the message will arrive directly and only to the library.
– “Beyond the book” news letter: a dedicated news letter that will act as a reminder from month to month with specific information about the group of readers and other information related to the group’s activity.
