From 2 to 4 October 2026 Albareto hosts the 29th National Porcini Mushroom Fair, three days dedicated to the gastronomy, nature, culture and traditions of the Apennines.
The theme of this edition is “PORCINI · FOREST · PASSION – A symbiosis to be tasted”, three words that tell the link between the Porcini Mushroom, the environment in which it is born and the people who live and protect the territory. This year the Fair expands further compared to previous editions, expanding spaces, areas and activities in different areas of the country.
In the Restaurant Pavilion, lunches and dinners will be served with specialties based on Porcini mushrooms and local products. Throughout the weekend there will also be food and wine stands, Street Food Area and, on Saturday morning, the show cooking of the Zappa-Fermi Food and Wine Institute of Bedonia.
Forest, nature and sport
The program offers a walk in the woods, e-bike excursions and numerous events dedicated to getting to know the area. At the Mushroom Museum there will be guided tours, the screening “Mushrooms of our woods” and the meeting “Multifunctional forest management: mushrooms and other ecosystem services”. Throughout the Fair it will also be possible to visit the Mycological Exhibition.
Children and families
The Kids Area will offer inflatables, ponies, Formula 1 simulator, face painting and many activities. Among the appointments: Baptism of the Saddle, Little Mushroom School, Village Sport Baby, magic shows, balancing performances and Custom Wood Carving demonstrations.
Markets, traditions and culture
On Saturday and Sunday there will be a Traveling Market, a Handicraft and Hobby Market, Ancient Crafts and a Tractor Exhibition. The program also includes the Mushroom Museum, the War Museum, the photographic exhibition and the art exhibition “Beyond what you see” by Tatiana Orlandazzi.
Shows and music
The Fair will open on Friday with the inaugural parade and the “Children’s Forest” parade. During the weekend there will be shows, concerts, aperitifs and DJ sets, with Willer Collura, the Vezzano Ligure Band, the Spari Sopra, the Spunciaporchi, the Flag-wavers and Musicians of the Duchy of Parma and the Fuori dalle Righe choir.
