Dear friends, on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026 we will meet, as every year, at the Guatelli Museum in Collecchio to commemorate Ettore Guatelli together. The theme we have given ourselves this year is “The stable” and, to honor it in a special way, we have chosen to involve various friends who have dealt with this theme in the most disparate ways. We will move from the theme of rural architecture to that of the uses and customs related to animal breeding, without neglecting everything that, although taking place in the stable, had to share with the animals only the warmth that they were able to generate even on cold winter evenings. When the stable was the only warm place in the house, in fact, people gathered there to perform manual work: the women took care of spinning, weaving, mending, embroidery, while the men dedicated themselves to repairing tools and building artifacts. And in the meantime, to pass the time, we told each other stories, we did theater, we sang… We will talk about all this and much more during our Festival. But in the meantime, here is the program,

Saturday 5 September

• 16:00 Stories of the stable: conference with the photographer and journalist Luigi Alfieri and the guide Lia Simonetti. An evocative dialogue between photographs, traditions and readings.
• 18:00 The puppet theater: popular theater show by the Teatro dell’Es, to evoke the atmosphere of the “stable theater”.
• 19:30 Aperitif with the guides: a convivial moment in the farmyard of Casa Guatelli, with Street Food from Osteria Parmigiana and beers from Birrificio Articioc.
• 21:00 The last surprise: Literary-musical reading and presentation of the book by Tiziana Barbieri, dedicated to the figure of Ulysses, with readings by Gianfranco Tosi and musical accompaniment by Maurizio Casaluce.

Sunday 6 September

• 16:00 The Teatro di Stalla: conference with recital by Teatro dell’Es, to discover the history and paths of popular theater from the cities to the countryside.
• 18:00 Themed guided tour: a special visit to the Ettore Guatelli Museum to discover the objects, stories, knowledge and traditions related to the stable, organized by the Friends of Ettore Guatelli Association and the Museum.
• 19:00 Bread, cheese and a good glass of wine: the themed visit will be completed with a convivial moment, to discover some more stories about our gastronomic traditions. Reserved for participants in the themed visit and members of the Association (with the possibility of registration on site).

During both days, the Museum will be open from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm until the end of the evening.
