The LAG of the Duchy has opened the Public Notice Ordinary Action SRD09-a “Non-productive investments in rural areas”, a new opportunity aimed at public beneficiaries to support interventions aimed at improving basic services, enhancing the rural heritage and strengthening the quality of life in the territories of the Apennines and rural areas.

The call is part of the LEADER 2023-2027 programming and supports projects capable of contributing to the socio-economic development of local communities, with particular attention to the recovery and redevelopment of buildings intended for public and collective services.

The goal is to encourage investments that can make rural areas more attractive, accessible and livable, countering the depopulation of marginal areas and creating new opportunities for aggregation, inclusion and use of services by the population.

Interventions on buildings intended to house welfare facilities for the most vulnerable groups, cultural services such as libraries, media libraries and multipurpose centers, public meeting and leisure spaces, as well as structures equipped to facilitate access to the Internet for the population can be financed.

Eligible expenses include renovation, conservative renovation, expansion and adaptation of buildings, as well as the purchase of equipment, equipment and furnishings that can be inventoried for interior design. There are also expenses for the arrangement and improvement of the relevant outdoor areas, when necessary to make the property fully usable, and general expenses related to design and feasibility studies.

Municipalities can apply, individually or in association, with interventions located throughout the territory of the Duchy LAG.

Applications for support must be submitted online through the SIAG – AGREA’s Agricultural Information System, subject to accreditation, by 31 August 2026 at 1.00 pm.

This is a particularly significant measure for public bodies that intend to invest in the recovery of spaces and buildings at the service of the community, transforming them into places capable of responding to the social, cultural and aggregative needs of the population and generating new opportunities for the territory.
