A special exhibition in the rooms of the Enoteca Comunale di Castell’Arquato, located in the rooms of the thirteenth-century Palazzo del Podestà

Twentieth-century art meets the millenary culture of the vine with Rue des Vins, a work by the great Maestro Gastone Biggi. A project that celebrates the journey, the land and the soul of the vines, through a unique poetic and visual synthesis. Rue des Vins is the synthesis of the experiences of the numerous journeys made by Biggi during his life, transformed into intimate poetry. On display are 80 original drawings made by Biggi during his travels. To dialogue with the physicality of the drawings, a dedicated video projects 80 unpublished poems, alternating verses and images in a hypnotic flow of words and signs.

The exhibition officially opens on Thursday 30 April at 6.30 pm, and will remain open to the public until 21 June during the normal opening hours of the Enoteca to the public (from Tuesday to Sunday, 10.00 a.m.-8.00 p.m.; closed on Mondays).

The geopoetics of wine

An exclusive event to deepen the work of Gastone Biggi: the actress Laura Cleri will give voice to the verses of the Maestro while Paolo Tegoni, gastronome and professor of food and wine culture at the University of Parma, will explore the “Geopoetics of Wine” exploring the link between landscape, grape variety and artistic identity. Giorgio Kiaris, President of the Gastone Biggi Foundation and witness of the journeys made with the Maestro in the artistic and food and wine fields, will be present.
