In Villanova sull’Arda the Cherry Blossom Festival is celebrated
A now traditional event that every year attracts hundreds of people from all over Italy. In fact, in the lands loved by Giuseppe Verdi, who chose to live here and devote himself to rural life during his stays in Sant’Agata, grow the trees that produce the most renowned cherries in the Piacenza area.

stand At the Pro loco stand the distribution of baskets takes place (to be booked at 338 661 7220) and we leave for the walk towards the orchard. Followed by a stop and lunch with entertainment.

parish church Bicycle ride with picnic at the natural park of Isola Giarola and Lancone; stop among the cherry blossoms, guided tour of the park, return with a stop at the “Mostramercatofiori, fruttiecontorni” at the Pizzavacca farmhouse, with food stands and music.
