The Francigena ring, from the Museum to the Museum

The appointments of the calendar From the Guatelli Museum to the territory continue; paths between nature, art, tradition and gastronomy, the paths to discover art, nature, tradition and gastronomy, in collaboration with the Il Melorosa Association, with the support of the Cariparma Foundation.

On Sunday 26 October, the Francigena ring is scheduled, from the Museum to the Museum, an excursion through the 19/bis variants of the Francigena, hill and Taro avia, between landscape and history, between natural environment and encounters along the way.

It will start from the Guatelli Museum at 9.00 a.m. in Collecchio: it will take the variant 19 / bis of the hill to reach Ozzano and access the Taro Park and arrive in the historic center of Fornovo, where you can discover various testimonies of the medieval route. After the stop, the hilly route will be resumed up to Riccò and then return to the Guatelli Museum. Along the route, participants will be served a “widespread menu”: it starts with coffee and the “busilan”, the traditional donut, at the Museum, and at each stage you can eat a different course: from the appetizer to the first course, from the second course to the dessert.

At the Guatelli Museum there will be a guided tour, which will be based on the theme of travel, through the objects and tools of the trade of artisans, street vendors, street artists, carters: people and crafts on the move. The meeting is set for 9.00 am at the Ettore Guatelli Museum. The route is about 16 km; travel time 4h (difference in altitude: 271m); Expected end around 3 pm. Appropriate clothing and hiking shoes are recommended.

The total cost is 30 euros per person (including guide for accompaniment, entrance to the Museum and all tastings).

The initiative is organized by the Ettore Guatelli Museum in collaboration with I viaggi di Oz, Circolo Arci Guatelli and the patronage of the European Association of the Vie Francigene (EAVF).
