‘How important is it to play in advance?: a pink walk to reaffirm the effectiveness of prevention in combating the onset of breast cancer is promoted by councilor Monia Lamio with the Municipality of Collecchio in collaboration with the ‘La Treccia’ Association, the Alpine Group of Collecchio and Gaiano and the ‘Il Colle’ Club.
– As part of the month of October dedicated to prevention – underlines Councillor Monia Lamio – I believe it is a necessary initiative to encourage people not to postpone essential checks, in some cases still slowed down by the effects of the pandemic on the organisation of visits. –
– For this reason, we count on a wide participation of Collecchio families in the walk, which has already collected the support of several particularly attentive local sponsors, so as to be able to donate a significant proceeds to local associations engaged in the specific front of prevention, the AVOPRIT section of Collecchio and La Doppia Elica of Parma. –
– In the wake of a choice implemented for some time – explains Mayor Maristella Galli – in the direction of supporting actions that contribute to promoting the health of individual citizens, understood as the first objective of the common good, the Municipal Administration of Collecchio is a convinced promoter of an initiative capable of involving entire families around such an important issue. –
The appointment is for Sunday 26 October, withdeparture from the Baita degli Alpini in Largo VIII Marzo at 10 am in the direction of Giarola and return along a route of about 8 km flat and easy to travel.
Upon arrival there will be fried cake and cold cuts flanked by the sale of cakes, the proceeds of which will always be used for the purpose.

The walk will take place in all weather conditions.
