On Thursday 8, Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 December the eight Food Museums in the province of Parma will remain open during normal hours. This is the last chance to visit them in 2022, because on the 12th the Museums of the circuit will close for the winter break, to reopen the first weekend of March, as usual.
Just in the days of the long bridge the Municipalities of the Pedemontana organize a series of gastronomic events and the Food Museums that reside here will contribute with free guided tours. In particular, it is Sala Baganza which houses the Wine Museum at the Rocca Sanvitale, Collecchio which houses the Pasta Museum at the Corte di Giarola and the Tomato and Felino Museum which houses the Salami Museum in the homonymous Castle. Free guided tours will be held at 11.00.
Along the roads leading to the Museums there are many opportunities to visit and the long bridge is certainly an opportunity to expand the knowledge of Parma. The ideas are different, nature lovers can immerse themselves in the parks: from the Regional Park of the Carrega Woods to the Taro River Park. The province of Parma is rich in castles: in addition to that of Felino and the fortress of Sala Baganza, home to two of the eight museums of the circuit, the fifteenth-century fortress of Torrechiara that stands in the Val Parma just before Langhirano and the Rocca Sanvitale di Fontanellato surrounded by the moat and with beautiful frescoes by Parmigianino are among the most evocative.
We remind you of the possibility of buying the Card, on sale for only 12 euros that allows you to visit all eight Museums and is valid for one year from the date of the first visit; A great idea for a Christmas thought.
