Every autumn the fallow deer of the upper Val Taro, between Borgotaro and Compiano, gather within the boundaries of the Ghirardi Nature Reserve for the culmination of their mating season.
In the first hours of light, the large males with their enormous shovel-shaped boxes meet in clearings called lek, surrounded by females and young people eager to participate in the show. In the scenery of the Ghirardi Nature Reserve, between the first colored leaves and the morning mists that rise from the streams.

The activity takes place on Saturday 08 October from 8.30 to 12.00 starting from the Visitor Center of the Ghirardi Regional Nature Reserve in Predelle di Porcigatone, Borgotaro (PR).
