Adoption of a chestnut tree from the municipality twinned with Carpineti: to formalize the relations that are being established between the Municipality of Carpineti and the city of Münzenberg, located in the Land of Hesse, Germany, now started from 2019.
Gino Fontana, Coordinator of the Promoting Group of the Twinning Committee of Carpineti, says: “The adoption of the chestnut tree to our future Münzenberg twins was carried out in a particular way, by Giovanni Giannasi, president of the Pro Loco Marola di Carpineti, in collaboration with the local twinning committee. It was a gesture of brotherhood that we wanted to make towards our German friends to show our solidarity, our friendship, especially in this particular historical period”.
“It was a moment of joy – he concludes – of sharing and also a moment to enhance Marola. Vera Reisinger who is the coordinator of the twinning committee and her husband Fritz spoke. The plate was handmade and inaugurated in the presence of the deputy mayor of Carpineti Mirko Costetti”.
