A “Pink Bench” was inaugurated on October 12 in the square of the church of Toano.
“It is a symbolic gesture in which I believe a lot – says the councilor for social services and health, Roberta Ruffaldi, who strongly wanted the presence of this bench – full of universal content. Whoever will sit on this bench will not be able to help but dedicate a thought of solidarity to all the women who are confronted with breast cancer every day. Above all, it will have to remind all of us to take care and prevent, even when we are young, in every possible way. It must also help men to reflect for a moment on what women feel, the risks they face and, perhaps, they will also be able to be closer to their companions, sisters, mothers, friends when they are faced with a problem of this kind”.
