The Taro International Rally is back! The event, organized by the Scuderia Automobilistica San Michele, will be held this year on 28 and 29 May 2022, and will involve all the five municipalities of the Alta Val Taro: Albareto, Bedonia, Borgotaro, Compiano and Tornolo.

The Union of Municipalities Valli Taro e Ceno will be the leader of the event, which demonstrates the sporting vocation of our Apennines and the ability to organize international events, thanks to the collaboration between public and private subjects and participation
of citizens.

This edition will also take place with a format that respects the Covid protocol, but this will not make it any less exciting. Italian and foreign teams will have the opportunity to discover new corners of our territory.
The route, in fact, varies from year to year to allow pilots to… Never get bored and try your hand at new challenges.

On Thursday, May 26 , the crews will be officially welcomed at the Castle of Compiano.
On Friday 27th the drivers will be able to do reconnaissance along the race course.
Saturday 28, in Albareto, there will be sports checks at the Pala Fungo and technical checks of the cars in the Piazza del Comune.
Sunday 29th will be the official day of the race, with departure from Borgotaro in the morning and arrival in Bedonia in the late afternoon.

For now, the anti-Covid protocols relating to sporting events oblige the organizers to respect the ban on gatherings; but people will be able to watch the race in the permitted areas; And we hope that in May the situation improves and we can return to enjoy the show in freedom.

The Rally del Taro was first held in 1994 with 60 crews. In 1997 it was already included among the races with national validity and in 2002 it became an international race of the IRC circuit – International Rally Cup.

The Scuderia San Michele, founded in the 60s by a group of friends passionate about motor racing, today is chaired by Fausto DeRe, together with the coordinator of the IRC Cup championship Michele Tedaldi and the historical collaborators Pierluigi Leporati, Giovanni Capella,
Antonio Franchi and Alberto Riccoboni. Honorary President is Ing. Gianpaolo Dallara, one of the founders of the Scuderia.
