Reading alone is good, but in company it is better. This is demonstrated by the shared reading project “Reading is fun! – Let’s read together”, promoted by the Municipal Administration of Borgo Val di Taro through the Manara Library, with the fundamental contribution of the Cariparma Foundation within the call “Reading creates independence”.
After the numerous events and initiatives held in the summer – including the “TaroNoir” crime festival and the mobile library at the park – the second phase of the project is now open, aimed in particular at reading groups as a tool for interaction and well-being, to stimulate the imagination and experience emotions at all ages.
Every first Monday of the month we meet and read together in the Manara Library. Not only that: you can participate in cultural activities of various kinds such as courses and trips to exhibitions and museums. In fact, visits will be organized to the current exhibitions in Parma dedicated to Edgar Degas and Ketih Haring, and then reach Traversetolo for the exhibition of pre-futurist works by Boccioni and Milan for Goya. The next meetings scheduled in the library are on October 30th at 4.00 pm with “Una famiglia americana” by Joyce Carol Oates and on November 27th always at 4.00 pm with “La vita di chi resta” by Matteo Bianchi.
