On 12 October 1944 in Manno di Toano the Sassolese partisans fell: Luigi Cervi, Nino Fantuzzi, Walter Gandini, Enrico Gambarelli, Clodoveo Galli, Alete Pagliani, Vittorio Roversi, Franco Spezzani, Mario Veroni, Vincenzo Valla, Walter Zironi: to remember them, on Sunday 9 October, as has become tradition, a delegation from Sassuolo will reach Manno for the official celebrations on the occasion of the 78th anniversary.
The commemoration is organized by the municipalities of Sassuolo, Toano, Baiso and Villa Minozzo, A.N.P.I Sassuolo and Circolo Alete Pagliani.
8.15 am meeting in the parking lot in front of the A.Pagliani club and departure by car for family or joint groups; the first stop will be at the Muraglione di Baiso and a crown will be placed on the memorial stone by Stefano Nino Piccinini.
10 am, arrival in Manno and participation in the celebratory event, S.S. Mass, procession, laying of a wreath and official speeches attended by: the Mayor of Sassuolo Gian Francesco Menani the Mayors of Toano Vincenzo Volpi, Villa Minozzo Elio Ivo Sassi and Baiso Fabrizio Corti, the President of ANPI Sassuolo Renzo Catucci as well as a representative of the Band “La Charity” of Sassuolo.

The commemoration, then, will continue on Wednesday 12 October with the conference “Barefoot, torn …. yet happy” at the hall of the Arci A.Pagliani club; by the club itself, Anpi Sassuolo, Arci Modena and Spi / Cgil Sassuolo.
