There were various types that distinguished this classic, from the “bread and salami” meeting of the very first editions, to the regularity race that engaged the participants for 2 consecutive days up to the formula of recent years which provides a challenging route, with a good number of skill tests to be carried out over a busy day.
Recall that in the mid-90s from this event was born as an “experiment” the Silver Flag which then had to take an independent road.
