CESURA is a photographic collective that produces projects in the field of documentary photography and visual research in the artistic field, founded in 2008 by Arianna Arcara, Luca Baioni, Alex Majoli, Gabriele Micalizzi, Andy Rocchelli, Alessandro Sala and Luca Santese.
Its founding members trained as assistants at the printing workshop by Alex Majoli, Magnum photographer; The spirit of the workshop that allows the master to pass on his experiences and knowledge to the student favors a climate of comparison, criticism and construction, through the direct experience of work and life in common.
A beautiful and ambitious project that has as its decisive element the geographical location:
Pianello Valtidone, a village of about two thousand inhabitants lying on the hills of Piacenza. A strong choice but with more than valid motivations.
In fact, the direct contact with nature and the distance from the bustling city life favor the deep immersion in one’s artistic research.
The economic impact should not be underestimated either, a way to radically reduce the cost of living (personal and professional) and focus more effectively on work.
A beautiful and ambitious project that certainly enriches the Val Tidone… Are you curious?
